In light of recently announced BC provincial restrictions which have impacted gyms, fitness, and wellness facilities, London Drugs has launched a health and wellness-focused Local Central initiative aimed at supporting fitness industry operators and small business owners throughout British Columbia.
With health and wellness being top of mind for many after the holidays and COVID-19 restrictions in British Columbia back in place, London Drugs hopes to collaborate and support members of the fitness industry across the province.
We encourage those in the fitness industry to fill out an online application and include what products or services they provide that can be promoted in-store and online to our customers. This initiative is similar to our past Local Central initiatives where we’ve worked with local businesses and restaurants to open up our shelf-space in-store to offer their products to our customers; with 100% of the proceeds, going back directly to those small business owners.
“When it comes to mental and physical well-being, there’s no room for compromise,” says London Drugs COO and President Clint Mahlman. “As we continue to navigate restrictions together, we look forward to discovering how we can best support the fitness industry within the communities we live and operate. We are fortunate to be able to provide an area in-store to communicate local health and wellness options, including products, merchandise, and to communicate related services to our customers, with 100% of the proceeds again going directly to local businesses and individuals.”
If you’re a licensed fitness business or individual, we welcome you to submit your application starting today on our Local Central Health and Wellness page.
